![]() Artist and songwriter Jerome Deppe has created a multi-media psychological portrait of modern society with Showtunes for the Damned. Thirteen compelling short stories of angst, love and loss rendered in graphic novel style and set to music, Showtunes for the damned is reproduced in full color with handsome binding and recorded accompaniment provided on disc. Sonorous vocals set to haunting musical interludes set the stage for this fourth solo effort from the artist which has taken three years to complete. Cameo appearances from Lloyd James of the British Neo-Folk band Naevus, Thomas Nola of Thomas Nola et son Orchestre, Drew Raison and David E. Williams help convey the darkly humorous message Jerome hopes to impart. Tristan Deppe and Timothy McDade of the Baltimore band Boom Vang provide additional instrumentation as well. Jerome Deppe can be reached via email here for sales, exhibition and performance inquiries. |
